LPGE-Browerville Wolves third consecutive year as Section 5A Champions
The LPGE-Browerville Wolves wrestling team started their post season on Tuesday, February 11, hosting the Section 5A Quarterfinal match against Quad County. Quad County was the 9th seed winning the wrestle-in match against 8th seed Osakis.
The Wolves jumped out early and won all the matches that were wrestled and won the dual 74–0. With the win, the Wolves advanced to their fifth straight section semifinal.
Friday, February 14 the Wolves traveled to Minnewaska High School to face the fifth seed and always strong KMS Saints. The Saints won the first two matches, but then it was all Wolves, claiming the next 11 out of 12 matches to win the dual 47–9 and advance to the program’s third straight Section Championship match and fourth State appearance in the last five years.
Third ranked and second seeded Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was the opponent for the Wolves as they rolled their way over fourth ranked Minnewaska in their semifinal match. . . . .
