Man charged in sexual assault of Amish girl

A former Todd County Amish man was charged and sentenced to third degree criminal sexual conduct.
The charge comes with a maximum sentence of 15 years imprisonment and/or $30,000 fine.
In May 2022, a woman who was raised Amish in Todd County was visiting Todd County again. It was then she decided to report to law enforcement that she had been sexually assaulted 16 years earlier. She agreed, at age 30, to provide a recorded statement about what happened to her as a teenager....
