According to Pat Nelson, director of the Todd County Group Home Inc., the home is undergoing many changes. These include two new homes for residents which are currently under construction, one on Main Street on the former St. Peter’s Church site and the other on West 6th Street. The present home located at 820 St. John’s Avenue East has been in use for over 20 years and will be put up for sale.

The Browerville Zoning Board met last week to consider a conditional use permit for the Church of Christ to use the former drive-in restaurant at 340 South Main as a church. The building had been zoned commercial and was later changed, at the owner’s request, to residential when it was going to be used for housing. There was some discussion about taking commercial properties off of the tax rolls, which increases the tax burden for the other businesses. However, the board decided they will recommend the city council to approve the conditional use permit.
