Kim Foote, Paula Zigan and Derek Johnson were among the Browerville youngsters who travelled to Mora on February 18 to compete in regional competition of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Tournament. Browerville won the district competition held on February 5 at Christ the King, against Long Prairie.

Jerene Carlson, Sarah Buyck, Rachel Thompson, Julie Kellen and Andrea Schatzle proudly showed the runners-up trophy in section finals for girls basketball.

March 10, 1945
Sgt. Herman Holler who has been stationed at Pampa, Texas since February 12, 1943, was married on the 17th of February last month to Miss Pressley Elizabeth Guynes of Wheeler, Texas. Their marriage took place at the Army Post Chapel with Rev. Father Paskert, Army Chaplain, officiating. Sgt. Holler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Holler of this village.

Township elections will be held next week on Tuesday, March 13. From present indications, few contests are scheduled to be settled by the voters of the different towns. On the ballot in Hartford will be Jos. Gorghuber, Thomas Ostrowski and John Twardowski, supervisors; John W. Irsfeld, assessor; Peter John, treasurer.
