Over 1000 remembered and honored on Veterans Day
The third annual Luminary Lighting in Browerville was held on November 11 to honor and remember our Veterans. There were 1012 luminary bags set up and lit after a short program honoring Veterans past and present. The National Anthem was sung. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and “The Final Inspection” was read. This was followed by the Color Guard salute. The program was sponsored by the VFW Post and Auxiliary 8391 and American Legion Post and Auxiliary 293. Family and friends were invited to light their loved ones candle. There were approximately 100 attendees who braved the frigid cold to partake in the ceremony.
