Sally Perish received a special “Awesome Adult Award” at the Eagle Valley Girl Scout Re-dedication and Awards Ceremony. Lanette Skillings also received this award earlier in the season.


50 Years Ago

August 13, 1970

An open house will be held on Sunday, August 16, at the Senior Citizens Center in Eagle Bend in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wells on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Friends and relatives are invited to call between the hours of 2 and 5 p.m.

Reverend James. T. Zellers recently arrived in Eagle Bend to assume his duties as pastor of the local Assembly of God Church. Reverend Zellers came here from Jackson, Minnesota. His family includes wife, Sandra, and two daughters, Rebecca, 9, and Ruth, 8.
