Donald (Bing) Bisel has retired after 25 years as a Township Fire Warden. Many people in Burnhamville, Grey Eagle, and Birchdale Townships have gotten burning permits from Bing over the years. For 21 years he made his home in the rural community of Burtrum as owner/operator of Bisel’s Supermarket. When he sold the supermarket this past spring, he retired from his voluntary service as a fire warden.

We really gave our new kitchen a workout on Saturday evening when we had our first potluck meal since moving in. Over 70 people attended. And what a pleasure to wash dishes where we had room and a brand new sink. Everything went so well and we handled the big crowd so easily. We also have two refrigerators now, which we needed badly for those meals.
