Neil Pollard, Eagle Bend VFW Post 6318 gambling manager, gave $1000 to Superintendent Dale Savaren for the new speaker system at the Eagle Valley Elementary School in Clarissa. John Sieling received $500 from Gary Johnson, VFW Post Commander, for the new press box at the Eagle Valley High School football field in Eagle Bend.

Char Greene—just mention her name—and recognition floods the faces of people. Then they begin to tell you about what she has done for them and how she has touched the life of one of their children or someone they know. At the end of the school year, Char resigned from the Eagle Valley Elementary School to work with her husband, Tim, at their Creative Flooring business. She will be missed.

June 24, 1971
In a business transaction completed last week, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller of Eagle Bend became the owners of the E & H Cafe and Drive-In, and took possession of the business on Monday morning of this week.

Bruce Eckel, of the Sod Busters 4-H Club of Eagle Bend, was named champion Holstein exhibitor at the Lake Region Dairy Day Show held last Thursday, June 17, in Alexandria.
