Schools switch learning models as COVID cases increase

As COVID-19 cases increase, several schools are switching learning models. The 14-day case rate per 10,000 hit 80.61 in Wadena County and 78.56 in Todd County on October 29.

The Verndale School reviewed their numbers with their regional support team and decided to keep the same plan in place with the high school in hybrid learning and the elementary is in-person.

As of Monday, November 2, all seventh through twelfth graders will be distance learning at Bertha-Hewitt School. Sports are not affected. The varsity volleyball team is taking two weeks off due to COVID-19 exposure.
