Should Minnesota make Daylight Saving Time permanent?

Daylight Savings Time—you may love it and you may also hate it. Most of us seem to dread that time in the spring when we “spring ahead” one hour and “lose” that hour of sleep.

In the fall, when we “fall back,” most of us look forward to that “extra” hour of sleep.

But do we really get an “extra” hour or “lose” an hour?

Well, first let’s talk about what Daylight Savings Time is and why it was created originally. . .
