The commissioners heard a little about the Second Amendment support rolling through Todd County during their open forum prior to the meeting’s start.

Citizen Al Emblom talked about the Facebook group that had been created in Todd County regarding support of the Second Amendment. He said the Facebook group grew to over 2094 members in a very short time.

Addendum: The Second Amendment reads: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.

Emblom talked about defending the Second Amendment. He said that five other counties have already approved resolutions regarding the Second Amendment. He said that Todd County should consider passing a resolution as soon as possible.

Later in the meeting, Commissioner Randy Neumann talked about the county becoming a Second Amendment dedicated county.

He said that State Representative John Poston and State Senator Paul Gazelka have asked why Todd County hadn’t already approved a resolution. . . .
