Vehicles collide in Verndale

On July 4, at 9:21 a.m., a 2020 Toyota Rav4 driven by Laurel Susan Vannyhuis, 68, of Farmington, was southbound on Brown Street in Verndale. A 2017 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Cassandra Ann Cloud, 34, of Park Rapids, was westbound on Highway 10. The vehicles collided in the intersection.

Vannyhuis sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Astera Health. The passenger, Gerald Joe Vannyhuis, 69, of Farmington, was not injured.

Cloud also had non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, Caiya Ann Marie Cloud, 8, of Park Rapids, was not injured.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash and everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
