Verndale native releases inspiring memoir Second Son Of A Second Son
Brian Borchers, a Verndale native, recently returned to the area and released a book.
“It’s a first-person account of how He restores my soul from Psalms 23. It is a faith-based book,” explained Borchers.
He had the idea for this book for several years and was finally challenged to write it. He booked a hotel room and wrote the book in 17 days.
There are many stories about Verndale in the book, such as Borchers’ time growing up in town and attending the Verndale School, and playing in the band under Ted Masog.
“Verndale had an extremely strong basketball team in those days, and some of that is in the book,” he added....
