Jill Motzko, Kaja Host, Stephany Spychalla and Vicki Wiersgalla are candidates for Miss Browerville 1998. The Miss Browerville Coronation will be held Friday evening, June 26, at the festival tent. The event will be followed by a free musical concert featuring the popular acapella sensation Tonic Sol-Fa. Be sure to bring a lawn chair and enjoy these Browerville Days kick-off events!

Jayme Reed attended the Osakis Summer Basketball Camp and received the All-Star Trophy for the Best In and Out Player. She also placed second in the free throw; third in the dribbling, third in the one-on-one and second in the hot shot contest.

Our own farm regional radio station KWAD will broadcast in Browerville on both Dairy Days. They will broadcast the judging of the dairy queens on Sunday evening, June 20. Miss Esther Hosterman will describe the parade of dairy queens over the air. Also broadcasting on Sunday evening will be Janice Grover, the Prairie Sweethearts, the Minnesota Kids and the Carl Holt Program. The winner of the Saturday evening amateur contest, June 19, will also be on the broadcast on Sunday evening.

The annual Todd County Farm Bureau Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, June 20, at Horseshoe Lake, approximately 3.5 miles northeast of Browerville. The picnic will begin at noon with Farm Bureau members and friends bringing their own lunch. Coffee will be made available by the County Farm Bureau. Immediately following the picnic, recreational activities for the young folks will be conducted.
