Avon held a Luncheon Tribute in Grand Rapids at Ruttger’s Resort honoring the following local Avon representatives for their outstanding achievements in sales, customer service and recruiting. Some of these representatives received special awards for being the top achievers in their district. Those who live in this area and were recognized: Margie Goepferd, Joyce Hassing, Donna Holmquist, Helen Motl, Donna Schnettler, Lori Kuhl, Karen Werner and Maggie Wold. Receiving special recognition were Joyce Hassing and Karen Werner for sales.

Sharon Notch of Eagle Bend has been reappointed to the volunteer position of Community Coordinator of the Land of Lakes Girl Scout Council. Notch is responsible for the organization and maintenance of six troops and 49 girls in Clarissa, Eagle Bend, Bertha and Hewitt. She is also responsible for appointing other key volunteer positions within the service unit such as troop leaders.

Mr. Frank E. Anderson of Route 1, Eagle Bend, was the lucky winner of the watch given away last Thursday night at the Caseroama Starlite Review presented under the sponsorship of the local Case Implement Dealer Mr. Lloyd Engebretson.

Remember the Rod and Gun Club meeting next Thursday, September 12. There are many towns whose interest in conservation is alive enough to attend. We urge all members, and non-members who are interested in matters pertaining to conservation and wildlife to attend.
