With the recovery of the stolen computers and the replacement of the damaged equipment, the Internet will be returning to the Eagle Bend Library as soon as the city replaces the damaged door. The staff at St. Cloud is ready and waiting for the call that the door has been placed.

The Eagle Bend City Council held a special meeting on February 5 to discuss contracting with the Todd County Sheriff’s Department for policing the community. Eagle Bend is without a chief of police. Ryan VanDenheuvel resigned effective January 31. If the city decides to contract with the county, it will have to be approved by the commissioners.

The local Lions Club is happy to report that a record number of people attended last Sunday’s ice races. With the limited parking space available, some of the spectators had less then desirable parking. However, it is hoped that this problem can be rectified. In the meantime, the Lions will make every effort to give everyone ample parking space from which to view the races.

“Saturday in the Park” will be the theme of the 1974 Pop Concert to be presented by the Eagle Bend High School Music Department on Saturday, February 23, at 8 p.m. Your favorite music will be played and sung by these local musicians. Admission is 75 cents for adults and 35 cents for students. Refreshments will be served during intermission at no additional charge.
