Voters let their wishes be known at special elections held in Todd County

The preliminary results are in!

It was a very tight race in the county for the District 3 Commissioner seat that was vacated by the death of Rod Erickson.

With 4342 voters registered to vote, only 467 ballots were cast when the polls closed.

The unofficial results on the Minnesota Secretary of State website showed that Bob Byers had won the election, but not by a very large margin at 50.57% with 237 votes.

Bob Kunz came in a very close second with 228 votes or 48.82% of the votes.

There were also two write-in votes....
