On August 11, 1979, Judy suffered a broken neck which was the result of a car accident involving a drunk driver. News from Eagle Bend's Past 25 Years Ago May 2, 2001 Richard Oelrich, rural Eagle Bend, was injured in a power take off (PTO) accident on April 24. He reached across the PTO shaft and it caught his overalls, shirt and t-shirt and they were ripped right off him. His neck was rubbing on the PTO going full force.
